Why 2438mm — and when to choose it over 1219mm
The 2.4m panel suits walls without obstacles. A single panel runs the full width of a standard garage wall section — no joins, no alignment between shorter panels, and a cleaner overall result. If your wall has windows, doors, power points, or other breaks that require cutting around, the 1219mm carton is more practical — shorter panels waste less material when cutting and are easier to manoeuvre into position.
The 2.4m panel also uses 2 InstallStrips per panel (vs 1 for the 1219mm panel), giving more fixing points along the panel length and a more rigid installation overall.
Brite White — why this colour works in a garage
White is the dominant interior colour in Australian garages. Brite White panels complement rather than contrast with that, and create a high-contrast backdrop where hooks, tools, and accessories are easy to see at a glance. Labels, bin contents, and tool outlines all read clearly against white. It's our most popular colour for a reason.
InstallStrips — 2 per panel for 2438mm
The 2438mm panel requires 2 × Standard Duty InstallStrips per panel — 8 total for a carton of 4 panels. InstallStrips are not included in the plain panel carton — if you'd prefer everything in one order, the 2438mm Get Started Kit includes panels, InstallStrips, and fasteners together at the same price as buying separately.
Frequently asked questions
How many cartons do I need?
Each 2438mm carton covers 2.96sqm. For a standard double-garage back wall (5.4m wide × 2.4m high = approx. 13sqm), you'd need approximately 5 cartons. Use the Panel Estimator for your exact dimensions, or call 0411 280 646 and we'll calculate it for you.
Can I mix 2438mm and 1219mm panels on the same wall?
Yes. Both panel lengths use the same profile, height, and groove pitch — they connect and stack cleanly. Mixing lengths is common when covering walls with obstacles: 2.4m panels on open sections, 1.2m panels cut to fit around windows or doors.
Do I need special accessories for 2438mm panels?
No. All StoreWALL CamLok accessories fit all Standard Duty panels regardless of length. The groove pitch is identical between 1219mm and 2438mm panels.
How is a 2438mm carton shipped?
The carton is 2464mm long and ships via courier freight — not Australia Post. Delivery times may differ from shorter items. See our Delivery Policy for details by state.
Can the panels be cut to length?
Yes. PVC cuts cleanly with a drop saw, circular saw, jigsaw, or multi-tool with a fine-tooth blade. We also offer a free panel cutting service for orders where panels need trimming before shipping — contact us before placing your order if you need this.
