Everything You Need in One Order — Panels, InstallStrips & Fasteners
The Get Started Kit takes the guesswork out of your first StoreWALL order. Same price as buying the components separately. No convenience premium. Just a simpler way to start.

The 8 InstallStrips included are exactly the right quantity for one carton of four 2.4m panels — two strips per panel, positioned to support the full length of each panel with an InstallStrip on every stud or at 450mm intervals. Everything is matched and ready to install together.
Choose Your Colour at Checkout
The kit is available in all Standard Duty colours — choose your preferred colour when you add to cart. All colours (ex Graphite Steel) are solid-core extruded PVC so the colour runs throughout the material, not just on the surface.
- Brite White — our most popular colour. Clean, bright white. Makes accessories easy to see. Note: white tone may vary slightly between production batches.
- Weathered Grey — warm mid-grey, colour matched to our StoreWALL accessories.
- Barnwood Grey — weathered grey woodgrain look finish.
- Whitewood — light natural timber look. Popular alongside light-coloured cabinetry.
- Rustic Cedar — warm reddish-brown timber-look finish.
- Graphite Steel — unique metallic surface treatment. Handle with care during installation.
- Black — deep black, solid colour. Strong contrast with chrome or stainless accessories.

Why 2438mm? The Case for Full-Length Panels
The 2.4m panel is the right choice when you have an uninterrupted wall to cover. At 2438mm long, each panel spans the full height of a standard garage wall in a single piece — no mid-wall horizontal joins, no alignment issues between rows, and a cleaner finished result than shorter panels butted end-to-end.
If your wall has windows, doors, power points, or other obstacles that require the panels to be cut around, the 1219mm Get Started Kit is the more practical format — shorter panels are easier to manage around obstructions and waste less material when cutting.
How Much Wall Does This Kit Cover?
One Get Started Kit (4 panels) covers 2.96sqm — approximately 2.4m wide × 1.2m high. That's a single column of four panels running the full height of a standard garage wall, or two columns at half-height side by side.
For a full garage wall, most customers order multiple kits or combine this kit with additional plain panel cartons. As a rough guide:
- Single garage side wall (approx. 3.6m wide × 2.4m high): approx. 3–4 cartons
- Double garage back wall (approx. 5.4m wide × 2.4m high): approx. 5–6 cartons
- Use our Panel Calculator for an exact carton count based on your specific wall dimensions
Why InstallStrips Are Included — Not Optional
InstallStrips are the galvanised metal strips that mount to your wall studs first — the panels then click onto the strips. Including them in the kit isn't just convenience; it's the installation method we recommend for every Standard Duty installation because:
- Weight capacity: InstallStrip installation gives you approximately 4× higher accessory weight ratings compared to face-screw installation through the panel
- Clean finish: no visible screw heads through the panel face
- Repositionability: panels installed on InstallStrips can be removed and rehung cleanly — face-screwed panels leave visible holes
- Security: load is distributed across multiple wall-stud contact points along each strip, not concentrated at individual screws
For the 2.4m panel, two InstallStrips per panel are required — one on every stud along the length of the panel or one every 450mm. Installing without InstallStrips is possible but reduces all hook, shelf, and bracket weight capacities by approximately 75%. For any application involving bikes, ladders, tools, or anything with real weight, InstallStrips are not optional in practice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the kit the same price as buying the panels and InstallStrips separately? Yes — the Get Started Kit is priced the same as purchasing the four panels, eight InstallStrips, and fasteners individually. There is no convenience markup. The kit exists purely to make your first order simpler — one product to find, one item to add to cart, and no risk of forgetting the InstallStrips or ordering the wrong quantity.
Do I need anything else to complete my installation? For a standard timber stud wall, no — the kit includes everything you need to install the panels. You'll also need an impact driver, a spirit level, and a pencil to mark your stud positions. If you're planning to add hooks, shelves, or brackets, those are purchased separately from the accessories range.
How many kits do I need for my garage? One kit covers 2.96sqm (four 2.4m panels). As a sense of scale: a single column of four panels runs 2.4m wide and 1.2m high. Most garages require two or more cartons for full wall coverage. Use the Panel Calculator to get an exact number based on your wall dimensions, or call us and we'll work it out with you.
What's the difference between the 2438mm and 1219mm Get Started Kits? The 2.4m kit (this product) contains four 2.4m panels and eight InstallStrips — the longer format, best for full uninterrupted wall runs with fewer joins. The 1219mm kit contains four 1.2m panels and four InstallStrips — better for walls with windows, doors, or power points that require cutting around. Both kits are the same Standard Duty PVC material and compatible with identical accessories.
How are 2.4m cartons shipped? The 2.4m carton is 2464mm long and ships via courier freight, not Australia Post. Delivery times and carriers may differ from smaller items — refer to our Delivery Policy for details.
Notes:
Brite White - The Whiteness of the Brite White panel may vary between batches. We will make every effort to ensure your order comes from the same batch.
Graphite Steel - is a unique metallic surface treatment, very similar to that found on an automobile. The substructure is solid PVC as are all storeWALL slatwall panels. Please note the metallic effect is only on the surface and if gouged deep enough, just like an automobile, the gouge may show. Thus we encourage reasonable care and handling be exercised when choosing our Graphite Steel slatwall panels.
Weathered Grey - Our Weathered Grey finishes are made as solid colour slatwall but do have a painted finish on the surface. This is to eliminate common streaking in the extrusion process that is only found in grey extruded plastic. The painted finish results in an even consistent finish.
Rustic Cedar, Global Pine, and Barnwood Grey - are intended to simulate real wood; and like real wood there might be some variation in grain and tint from panel to panel.
