Heavy Duty (1219mm)
Heavy Duty Slatwall Panels 1219mm — StoreWALL's Strongest Panel
StoreWALL Heavy Duty panels are the strongest slatwall panels available in the Australian residential market. Designed for garages, workshops, and commercial installations where load capacity is the first priority — thicker than Standard Duty, taller per panel, and installed with Heavy Duty InstallStrips for maximum wall contact and load distribution.
In Australia, Heavy Duty panels are available in the 1219mm length only. Each carton contains 4 panels.

Weight Capacity
Weight capacity varies based on installation method. InstallStrip installation is always recommended for maximum performance:
- With HD InstallStrips: 34kg at the panel surface per panel
- With HD InstallStrips: 68kg at 100mm from the panel surface per panel
- Face-screw installation (without InstallStrips): weight capacities reduced by approximately 75%
Why Choose Heavy Duty Over Standard Duty?
The Heavy Duty panel is 77mm taller than Standard Duty (381mm vs 304mm) and 1mm thicker (17.7mm vs 16.7mm). This means:
- More groove capacity per panel — each HD panel has 5 grooves vs 4 on Standard Duty, giving more accessory positions per row of panels
- Fewer panels needed to cover the same wall height — HD panels cover more vertical space per row
- Higher individual panel weight ratings — HD panels are rated to 34kg at surface vs Standard Duty's published per-panel figures
- HD InstallStrips are wider and heavier gauge than Standard Duty strips — providing a stronger connection at each fixing point
For most residential garages — bikes, tools, sports equipment, general storage — Standard Duty with InstallStrips is sufficient. Heavy Duty is the right choice when you need maximum capacity, are running a trade workshop from home, or are dealing with particularly heavy power tools or equipment that will be loaded onto the wall regularly.
InstallStrips — Required for Full Weight Capacity
Heavy Duty InstallStrips are galvanised metal strips that screw to the wall studs first — the panel then clips onto the strips. This removes visible screws from the panel face and dramatically increases load capacity compared to face-screw installation. Each 1219mm panel requires 1 HD InstallStrip. InstallStrips are sold separately.
Each HD InstallStrip is 1140mm long and can be broken into 3 sections of 380mm each — matching the 381mm panel height for a precise fit. Aim for a minimum of 3 fixing points along each panel.
Colour Options
Weathered Grey
A warm mid-grey with a painted surface finish. The painted finish is applied to eliminate streaking common in grey extruded PVC — the result is an even, consistent finish across panels. Most popular Heavy Duty colour.
Brite White
Clean, bright white. Makes accessories and contents easy to see against the panel. Popular for workshops and spaces with artificial lighting.
Global Pine
A warm timber-look finish simulating pine grain. Like real wood, there may be some variation in grain and tint from panel to panel — this is a feature of the finish, not a defect. Available in Heavy Duty only (not Standard Duty).
Can I Mix Heavy Duty and Standard Duty on the Same Wall?
Yes — both panel ranges use the same 76mm groove pitch and are compatible with all StoreWALL CamLok accessories. You can run Heavy Duty panels in one section of a wall (e.g. where you'll be storing heavy tools) and Standard Duty in another, using the same hooks, shelves, and bins throughout. The two ranges sit at slightly different heights per panel (381mm vs 304mm) so rows won't align perfectly — plan your layout accordingly or use all one range if visual consistency matters.
Panel Cutting
Heavy Duty panels can be cut to length using standard woodworking tools — circular saw, jigsaw, or drop saw. We also offer a free panel cutting service for orders that require specific lengths — contact us before ordering to arrange.
