If your garage wall is brick, concrete or masonry, these are the fasteners you need. The 5mm × 40mm Mushroom Nail-In Anchor is the recommended fixing for StoreWALL InstallStrips on solid masonry and brick walls — replacing the timber screws used on stud walls with a nylon anchor system that locks firmly into drilled holes in the masonry.
Drill the hole, tap the anchor in, and the mushroom head sits flush against the InstallStrip face. One pack of 100 is sufficient for a full StoreWALL installation across most double-garage brick walls.
Required drill bit size: 5.5mm or 6mm. Drill into the mortar joint where possible for the cleanest result — avoid drilling through the brick face unless necessary.
Note: These anchors are for brick, concrete and masonry walls only. For timber stud walls, use 7g × 40mm timber screws instead.
