StoreWALL Heavy Duty Garage Wall Panels

The StoreWALL Heavy Duty Wall Panel is our premium-grade slatwall panel and the strongest garage wall panel available in Australia. Built from a thicker PVC extrusion than the Standard Duty range, Heavy Duty panels are engineered for garages and workshops where loads are substantial, frequent, or both.

If you’re storing motorbikes, large ladders, trade tools, gym equipment, or anything where failure isn’t an option, this is the panel to start with. Like all StoreWALL products, Heavy Duty panels use the exclusive CamLok™ locking system to keep accessories firmly in place regardless of load.

Why Heavy Duty Panels Outperform Standard Slatwall

The structural advantage of the Heavy Duty panel comes from two factors working together: a taller panel profile (381mm vs 304mm) and a thicker PVC wall (17.7mm vs 16.7mm). The result is a panel that resists flex and lateral movement even under sustained point loads.

The InstallStrip-HD further compounds this advantage. Unlike standard timber screws, the HD InstallStrip creates a rigid mechanical connection between the panel and your wall structure, distributing load across multiple anchor points and preventing the panel from pulling away from the wall under stress.

This combination — thicker panel, taller profile, multi-point anchor — is why the Heavy Duty system achieves a 37kg rating at 10cm from the wall, a depth that reflects real-world use with deep hooks, large baskets, and projecting accessories.

Installation Options

Heavy Duty panels can be installed using two methods:

  • HD InstallStrips: The recommended method. One InstallStrip-HD per 1219mm panel, providing superior strength and a cleaner finish. InstallStrips are sold separately.
  • Face screws: Colour-matched screws through the face of the slatwall slots. Suitable for lighter applications or where InstallStrips cannot be used due to wall construction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Heavy Duty panels be installed on plasterboard walls?

Yes, but for maximum strength you should locate and anchor into wall studs. Heavy Duty panels are most commonly installed on brick, masonry, or timber-framed walls where stud spacing allows for secure anchor points.

Can I mix Heavy Duty and Standard Duty panels in the same installation?

Yes. All StoreWALL CamLok™ accessories are compatible with both panel types, so you can combine ranges within the same wall. A common configuration is a dedicated Heavy Duty zone for bikes or heavy tools, with Standard Duty panels covering the remaining wall area.

Are the Heavy Duty panels available in the same colours as Standard Duty?

No. Heavy Duty panels are currently available in Global Pine, Weathered Grey, and Brite White. If you require a wider colour selection, the Standard Duty range offers seven colours.
