StoreWALL Wide Hook
StoreWALL Wide Hook — 101mm Opening
The Wide Hook has a tapered design — it narrows to 63mm at the wall and widens to 101mm at the end. This gradual widening is what makes it unique in the StoreWALL range: items of different widths can be "stepped" along the hook at different depths, with narrower items sitting closer to the wall and wider items resting further out. A tennis racket dropped onto the hook settles naturally at the point where its frame width matches the hook width — the racket rests securely without clips or straps.
Both prongs are rubberised to protect items from scratching. 34kg capacity. CamLok™ pre-installed. Sold as a single hook.

What the Wide Hook is best for
- Tennis and badminton racquets — the racquet frame settles at the point on the hook that matches its width. Drop it on and it stays put without clips or straps. Multiple racquets can be stepped at different depths along the hook
- Brooms and push brooms — wide broom heads rest on the rubberised prongs without the broom sliding sideways
- Mops — head faces down for draining and drying between uses
- Rakes and garden tools — handle rests between the prongs with the tool head hanging clear of the wall
- Shovels and spades — shoulder of the tool rests on the widened end of the hook
- Squash and padel racquets — wider frames than standard tennis racquets sit further along the taper
Why the tapering design matters
Most hooks have a fixed width — items either fit or they don't. The Wide Hook's tapered design means it self-adjusts to whatever you put on it. A narrow item slides further along the hook until it contacts the prongs at the right width. A wider item rests closer to the wall where the hook is narrower. This makes it one of the most versatile hooks in the range for sporting equipment and garden tools where items vary significantly in frame or handle width.
Wide Hook vs HD Utility Hook — choosing between them
Both hooks are wide and suit similar items, but in different ways:
- Wide Hook (this product) — 101mm at the tip, tapered, rubberised, 34kg. Suits sports equipment and garden tools where the tapering self-adjusts to different widths.
- HD Utility Hook — 177mm wide, flat opening, 68kg. Suits bulkier items like ladders, timber, and hose coils where you need a wider flat cradle and higher capacity.
Frequently asked questions
Can I hang multiple tennis racquets on one hook?
Yes — the tapering design allows racquets to be stepped at different positions along the hook. Two or three racquets can be stored on a single Wide Hook, each settling at its own natural position along the taper. The rubberised prongs prevent frames from scratching each other.
Will it scratch my racquet frame?
No — both prongs are rubberised to protect frames and handles from scratching. The racquet rests on the rubber surface at the point where its width matches the hook.
Is it compatible with all StoreWALL panels?
Compatible with Standard Duty, Heavy Duty StoreWALL panels, and MKE Slatwall panels. The CamLok fits the same 76mm on-centre groove pitch across all three.
What's the difference between this and the Wide Hook used for bikes in the rotating sets?
The Wide Hook here (SKU: HK-WIDE) is a standalone hook for garden tools and sports equipment. The Wide Hook included in the Mountain Bike Set is a different accessory used as a lower tyre support alongside the Rotating J-Hook — same name, different product and purpose.
