What Can the 381mm Bracket Do?
- Floating garage shelves — pair two or more brackets to support the 400mm Deep Metal Shelf, or your own timber or metal cut to size up to 391mm deep
- Horizontal bike storage — store bikes flat against the wall with the frame resting on padded brackets. Add optional foam non-slip padding to protect your bike frame
- General storage — support timber, containers, large sporting equipment and workshop supplies directly on the longer bracket arm
How Many Brackets Do I Need for a Shelf?
- Up to 1.2m wide — use at least 2 brackets
- Up to 1.8m wide — use at least 3 brackets
- Up to 2.4m wide — use at least 4 brackets
Maximum shelf depth: 391mm. If building your own shelf, ensure the material does not exceed this depth. The bracket has drill holes for secure shelf attachment.

The two bracket sizes are not interchangeable with each other's shelves — always match the bracket to the shelf. The 254mm plastic floating shelves require 254mm brackets; the 400mm Deep Metal Shelf requires 381mm brackets.
