Mushroom Nail-In Anchors 6.5mm × 50mm (100 Pack)
If your brick or concrete garage wall has plaster or render over the surface, the standard 5mm × 40mm anchor isn't long enough to reach the masonry behind it. The 6.5mm × 50mm Mushroom Nail-In Anchor is the solution — the extra length (approximately 10mm more than the 5mm anchor) ensures the anchor penetrates through the plaster layer and seats firmly into the brick or concrete beneath.
This is the anchor to choose when you can see or feel that your garage walls have been plastered, rendered or skim-coated over brick — a common finish in Australian brick-veneer and double-brick garages. If your walls are bare brick or concrete with no surface coating, the 5mm × 40mm anchor is sufficient.
Required drill bit size: 7mm or 7.5mm masonry bit.
