MKE Whitewood 1219mm Laminated PVC Slatwall
Product Details

MKE Whitewood 1219mm Laminated PVC Slatwall — Carton of 4

The MKE Whitewood panel is a premium laminated PVC slatwall panel with a realistic pale timber finish — the warmth and texture of natural Whitewood with none of the maintenance. The laminate surface is scratch-resistant and fully waterproof, and the compressed PVC core is significantly stronger than standard extruded slatwall panels.

This is the lighter-toned alternative to the MKE Blackwood — suited to garages, laundries, home offices, and media rooms where you want the premium laminate finish but in a brighter, more neutral palette. All StoreWALL CamLok accessories are compatible, so the full range of hooks, shelves, baskets, and bins work on these panels.

Sold as a carton of 4 panels. Fasteners and optional Slot Inserts available at checkout.

MKE Whitewood vs MKE Blackwood — choosing between them

Both MKE panels are the same product in different colourways — same compressed PVC core, same laminate construction, same 76mm groove pitch, same installation method. The choice between them comes down to the aesthetic you're building toward:

  • Whitewood — pale, warm, natural timber look. Works well in brighter spaces, laundries, home offices, and garages where you want lightness and warmth rather than drama. Pairs naturally with lighter coloured accessories and fittings.
  • Blackwood — dark, rich, premium timber look. Works well in showroom workshops, home bars, media rooms, and garages where a bold statement finish is the goal. High contrast with silver or chrome CamLok accessories.

Both colours accept all StoreWALL CamLok accessories interchangeably.

MKE vs StoreWALL Standard Duty — key differences

MKE panels are a different product category to StoreWALL's Standard and Heavy Duty panels. The key differences in practice:

  • Construction: MKE uses compressed laminated PVC — denser and heavier than the solid extruded PVC used in SD and HD panels. The laminate decorative face is applied to the surface rather than running through the core.
  • Installation: MKE panels are installed with face screws directly into studs — there are no InstallStrips for MKE. The screw heads are visible unless you add the optional Slot Inserts, which clip into the grooves to cover them with a matching Whitewood laminate strip.
  • Finish: The Whitewood laminate finish is more refined than any extruded PVC colour — it genuinely looks like timber in a way that the Whitewood extruded panels don't attempt to replicate.
  • Accessories: All StoreWALL CamLok accessories work on MKE panels — the 76mm groove pitch is identical.

Slot Inserts — what they do and when to add them

Because MKE panels are installed with face screws, the screw heads are visible in the grooves after installation. The optional Slot Inserts are Whitewood laminate strips that clip into the grooves to cover the screws completely — giving the wall a seamless, screw-free finish that matches the panel surface.

If you're building a premium installation where the finish matters, the Slot Inserts are worth adding at checkout. If the wall is a functional space where the screw heads aren't a concern, they're optional.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use StoreWALL InstallStrips with MKE panels?
No. MKE panels are designed for face screw installation only. InstallStrips are engineered for StoreWALL's SD and HD panel profiles and are not compatible with MKE.

Do StoreWALL hooks and shelves fit MKE panels?
Yes. All StoreWALL CamLok accessories fit MKE panels — the groove pitch is 76mm on-centre, identical to SD and HD panels. Every hook, shelf, basket, and bin in the StoreWALL range will clip in and lock with CamLok.

Is the Whitewood finish solid through the panel?
No. The Whitewood is a laminate surface applied to a compressed PVC core. A deep cut or gouge will expose the PVC substrate beneath. Handle with reasonable care during cutting and installation.

Is the Blackwood version available?
Yes — the MKE Blackwood 1219mm panel is available in the same carton of 4 format with the same specifications.

Can the panels be cut to length?
Yes — a circular saw, jigsaw, or multi-tool with a fine-tooth blade cuts cleanly through the laminated PVC. Cut edges will expose the PVC core — plan cuts to keep them in less visible locations if edge finishing matters.
